Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director best known as the star of Birdman. A versatile actor he is proficient in comedy as well as dramatic characters. He has also portrayed a few romantic characters and played in numerous action films throughout his career. As a teen, he became interested in performing and acting. As young adults the actor experimented with comedy stand-up. It was not successful, though it helped pave the way to the path to a career in acting. The comedian was not able to make the success he had as a comedian, so his next move was as a TV cameraman for the cable channel. When he was working in the station that he realized that he actually wanted to be on camera. Then he landed a TV part, playing a number of episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. It was no surprise that the actor quickly gained a following as a well-known TV actor. He had great goals, and started a film career and was a household name due to his comedic role. His career was further enhanced by the acclaim he received in the role of Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. As a mature actor, the actor also began to explore into producing and directing. He won numerous awards and nominations for his role in the 2014 film Birdman.
