Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December, 1991. He is the son of Manny James, as well as Patty James of mixed race. He is the son of Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. When he graduated at Sanderson High School, in 2010, James enrolled in Wake Forest University and obtained his Bachelor's in Economics. James was first known for his part as The Bachelorette's reality star. James was selected in the year 2020 as the bachelor of the year on The Bachelor season 25, being the show's debut African American male star. The season premiered later that year. James is the perfect fit for this role as his height, beauty and physique are hilarious. The series concluded when he chose Rachael Krkconnell to start an affair with the actress. He teamed up with the well-known dancer Arnold to compete in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James along with Arnold placed 12th on the show.
