Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for a long time. Alexandra is well-known for her roles as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 she portrayed the lead role in several television dramas. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and received critical and commercial great success. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable national and international projects throughout her career. These comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as well as French historic miniseries Napoleon. She also served part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
